The Bible is one of the most inspiring books in the Western world. This little and free application shows a different Bible quote every time you start your computer, thus sharing with you all the wisdom contained in the Good Book. The program includes 62 different quotes taken both from the Old and the New Testament, showing you the insights from the ancient Jewish and Christian philosophies.
The program is really easy to install. You only need to download the .zip file, unzip it in a folder, and click on the 'setup.exe' file. The setup wizard will take you through the installation process. Once installed, the program will open every time you start Windows, showing the Bible quote that corresponds to that particular date. By default, the quote will appear during 30 seconds, but you can pause the program so it can stay longer on your screen. An interesting feature is the possibility of copying the quote to the clipboard so you can paste it in any text processor or e-mail message.
The program needs Visual Basic Runtime libraries to run properly. If you don't have them installed in your system, you can choose to download a package containing both the Bible Quotes program and the corresponding libraries. All in all, it is a good and inspiring program that is also free and takes little resources from your system.
